Cancellation & Refunds
Last updated September 8, 2026
The short version: nothing is charged until the work is finished, so cancelling before then costs you nothing. Everything below is detail on the edges.
1You aren't charged until the work is done
We save a card when you book. We don't charge it then. The card is charged after the job is complete, for the amount you already agreed, the instant price you accepted, or the quote you approved.
This is the whole shape of the policy. Almost every question below answers itself once you know that no money moves until the work is done.
2Cancelling
Before the contractor is dispatched
Free. Email or call us and it's cancelled. Nothing is charged and the saved card is released.
Less than 24 hours before your window
Still free. Things come up. If it becomes a pattern we may ask for a deposit on future bookings.
If we cannot do the work when we arrive
Whether you send the crew away or something stops them working, a locked gate, a loose dog, a blocked area, no water for a wash, there is no charge. We will get in touch and rebook it.
3Rescheduling
Free, as often as you need, with 24 hours' notice. Just tell us.
If we reschedule, weather, a sick crew, a truck that didn't start, you're never charged anything, and we'll offer you the next available slot. Rain delays on outdoor work are common and are never your cost.
4Quotes
A quote is not a commitment. You can decline it, ignore it, or let it expire, and you are charged nothing.
Quotes stand for 14 days. After that we may need to re-price.
Approving a quote sets the price. That is the number you will be charged when the work is finished, not an estimate of it.
You can still cancel after approving a quote, right up until the crew is dispatched, at no cost.
5If the work isn't right
Tell us within 48 hours and we'll put it right at no cost, the same crew returns, or a different one does, or we refund the affected portion of the job. Which of those we do depends on the job. That we fix it doesn't.
Photos help. If you can send them, send them.
This covers work done below a reasonable standard. It doesn't cover a change of mind about scope you approved, ordinary regrowth or re-soiling over time, or problems that were there before we arrived and weren't part of the job.
6Refunds
Where a refund is due, we issue it to the original card. Once we send it, it typically shows up in 5 to 10 business days. That timing is your bank's, not ours, the money leaves us immediately.
Partial refunds are common and sensible: if three of four items on a job were done properly, we refund the one that wasn't rather than arguing about the whole invoice.
7Before you dispute a charge
If a charge looks wrong, email us first. We can usually resolve it the same day.
A chargeback takes weeks, involves your bank, and doesn't get the problem fixed any faster. Every charge we make is backed by a price you approved and, on most jobs, photographs of the completed work, so we'd simply be sending your bank the evidence you already have. Talk to us instead.
