A Savannah contractor built this
Foundry is run by Ed Yannett. He owns Lowcountry Home Services here in Savannah, has run crews in this city for years, and still goes out on jobs. Foundry is not a technology company that decided home services looked like a good market.

Why it exists
Two things go wrong in this trade, and they go wrong in both directions.
Homeowners get a contractor who does not turn up, does not call back, or disappears halfway through, and they have no way of knowing which one they have hired until it is too late. So they ring five people for five jobs and chase every one of them.
Contractors get the other half of it. They pay for a lead three other men bought the same morning, drive across town to price a job for somebody who was never going to hire anyone, write estimates at nine at night, and then chase an invoice for three weeks after the work is finished. None of that time is paid for.
How a job actually works
- You tell us what you needSend a couple of photographs with it. Those go to the contractor who would do the work, and he puts a price on them. If the photographs are not enough he comes and looks first.
- You see his number before anything is bookedAnd you decide then. Nothing is charged for looking, and nothing is owed if you say no.
- A deposit, only where materials have to be bought firstOn those jobs part of the price is taken when you approve it. We tell you the exact amount with the price, never afterwards.
- Everything else is charged when the work is finishedYou never pay for work that was not done, and never twice for the same work.
What we ask of the people we send
Turn up when you said. Look like somebody they would let in the house. Answer the phone. Say it before they find it. Leave it better than a competitor would. It is written down in full on the contractors page, above the application form rather than buried in an agreement, so anybody who does not work that way can see it before they apply.
Every contractor is background checked, has their insurance verified, and has two references called before they are sent to anybody.
Where we work
Savannah and the surrounding area. One city, done properly, before anywhere else.
